Why Do I Drink Warm Lemon Water Every Morning?

Did you know that you will feel better and live a healthier life if you keep the acid level low, and your body is a more alkaline environment? That’s what I just learned in school.


Here are some of the benefits of your body being an alkaline environment.
1. You will be able to boost your energy naturally without consuming caffeine.
2. Your body will be able to function at an optimal level.
3. You can slow down the aging process.
4. Lower your risk of cancer
5. Will help you “Lose It fast”.

So why do we drink warm lemon water? Lemons are packed like a clown car with nutrients. Warm lemon water is a natural energizer. It Hydrates and oxygenates the body, leaving it feeling refreshed and revitalized for quite some time. As opposed to coffee, whose effect are short lived. Possibly the biggest benefit of drinking warm lemon water in the morning is that it helps to maintain your body in an alkaline state. Interestingly, while lemon juice itself is acidic it’s actually one of the most alkaline foods available.

In simple terms almost all fruits, vegetables, beans, and almonds are alkaline. Everything else produces some levels of acid in our body. It’s not an easy thing to change, but it can be done. I have slowly been trying to change my family’s diet, and believe my when I say this really needs to be a slow change. Most of the acid producing foods are very addictive and your body will not be happy you’re taking them away. (Sugar, processed grains, caffeine, and too much meat). I remember reading my first book about this and thinking, “This is crazy! There is no way anyone could do this”. We still struggle at our house. We will go weeks doing great, and then something happens, and its back to the beginning. When we are eating a diet heavy in alkaline foods I notice my health is better, excess weight falls off without me trying, and my kids are better behaved. I sleep better, have more energy, and life, all together, seems better.

And that’s why I start my day with a warm cup of lemon water.
