First, the castor beans are roasted before being crushed. Then, water is added, and the mixture is slow-boiled over a fire. You're left with thick, pungent, and dark brownish-black oil.

  1. Scoop out a generous amount of the butter onto your palm.
  2. Rub the butter between your fingers to melt the butter and warm it up until it's an oil.
  3. Gently massage it into your face, hair, or other areas.
  4. Leave the oil on and soak the washcloth in steaming hot water.
  5. Gently wipe away the oil using a washcloth. Repeat as needed.
