What is Rosehip Seed Oil?

Rosehip Seed oil has a delicate woody smell –– it doesn't smell like roses like you would presume. The color of this oil generally ranges from a deep golden hue to a vibrant red-orange to a light-yellow color.

Zatural's Rosehip oil comes from the seeds of the Rosa Canina rose bush, commonly found in France. Rosehip seeds have been used worldwide for hundreds of years.

Zatural Rosehip oil is gathered through cold-pressing, which helps maintain the purity and profile of the oil.

What uses does Rosehip Seed Oil have?

Rosa Canina oil or Rosehip Oil comes rich in essential fatty acids (omega 3, 6, and 9).

It is well-known how beneficial omega-fatty acids can be for our hair and skin. Rosehip oil is a "dry" oil that is non-greasy and absorbs quickly.

First, because of the amounts of fatty acids (omegas 3 and 6) found in Rosehip oil and the quickness with which the oil is absorbed into the skin, Rosehip oil is a fantastic hydrator and moisturizer.

Rosehip oil helps lock in the moisture in your skin, even in dry climates. Retaining moisture in your skin will support the softness and elasticity of your skin.

The rosehip seed oil has long been used as a folk remedy for healing wounds, fading scars, and reducing fine lines. These benefits are possible through fatty acids naturally found in Rosehip oil.

In a 2015 study, signs of crow's feet (wrinkles around the eyes) showed a significant reduction in participants after daily application.

In a similar 2015 study, participants who underwent surgery and had post-surgical scaring ran a text on Rosehip seed oil's effectiveness.

After 12 weeks, the oil participants saw significant improvements in scar color and inflammation.

As you can see, rosehip oil has much to offer. Along with applying Rosehip oil to your skin, it can also be applied to your hair and nails for additional benefits.

The people of France have used Rosehip oil as a natural conditioner for decades. As a natural conditioner, Rosehip seed oil can assist with repairing damaged hair, renewing scalp tissue, and moisturizing hair.
